Downhill mountain bikers will soon have more options in the Wasatch. According to a recent press release, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort will be building 2 downhill specific mountain bike trails which will be serviced by the tram, making for a 7 mile downhill descent. Expected completion date for both trails is Fall 2014.

Brete, I initially had the same thoughts… however, Alpine is a solid trail builder so hopefully they have something up there sleeve here. Regardless, I can’t imagine Snowbird would encourage uphill riding on “tram access” trails.
The KSL article says the trail will only be open to uphill traffic until 10:30am
