Go for a Ride

Ridge 157 Mountain Bike Trail

The Answer is Always, “Go for a ride”

There are many decisions I regret – that last shot of tequila, last cookie, binge watching Lost (still bitter about that one), etc… However, I’ve yet to go ride my bike, and later wish I hadn’t.

This time of year, it’s easy to find oneself in a funk, aka the summer time blues. Perhaps it’s in part due to the constant state of FOMO that comes with summer. Long days that can feel empty as you scroll through feeds of other people having endless fun, fun you could be having if only you had cooler friends, richer parents, lived somewhere else, and so on.

When this happens, shut it down, and get the fuck outside. Go ride your bike, go check out a new coffee shop or bar with a cool patio. Google Map your town and find a lake or body of water you’ve never been to, and go jump in. It doesn’t really matter what you do, just get out of your head, and into the world.

You never know what’s waiting to be found only a backyard away.
