Spin Cycle, Tumble Dry
Spin Cycle earned it’s name in part from the antiquated washing machines found along the trail, as well as in part from the twisty turns through gullies that will leave you feeling dizzy. The trail is hand-cut singletrack at it’s finest, so don’t be expecting buff two-lane thoroughfare. The trail winds through thick sage, aspen, and pine as well as offers fantastic views of Jordanelle Reservoir.
When to Ride Spin Cycle
Spin Cycle is typically snow free by mid-May. It maintains decent shade all throughout the summer and is one of Park City’s less-traveled trails making it a great option all summer long. Hit this trail right in the spring or fall and you’ll be treated to a tunnel of green or gold, respectively.
Spin Cycle Conditions
The trail doesn’t cross any ski runs so it tends to dry out fairly early in the season. Unfortunately there are no real-time resources for up-to-date conditions, so if you’ve ridden the trail recently, feel free to leave a trail status in the comments below.

How to Find Spin Cycle
The most direct route is to park at Deer Valley’s Snowpark Lodge, find the trail behind the Black Diamond Lodge, ride under the St. Regis funicular, and climb up Pipeline until you see signs for Spin Cycle. You’ll pop out and have to ride the Deer Crest road for a short bit (straight, then left and a quick right) before you pick up the Spin Cycle singletrack. Unfortunately, trails in this area are commonly being re-routed due to construction, so names and routes are often subject to change. Here’s a pin to the top of the Spin Cycle singletrack.
Spin Cycle Ride Options
There’s a large network of trails to hookup with before or after Spin Cycle. Spin Cycle is a down then up, so you’ll have to climb back out after the initial descent. The most direct, and recommended way is to return via Village Trail. There’s no good signage to the start of village, so once you exit Spin Cycle at the maintenance house, find the singletrack on the opposite end of the parking lot, and follow that to the first road crossing. From here, climb the road until you see the trail marker on your left. Here is a pin to the start of Village Trail. You’ll initially come out near the Deer Crest chairlift. Follow the trail cairns to stay on Village Trail. After the next climb, you’ll exit at the top of the Deer Crest road. From here, you can return to Snow Park, or link up with the Snow Top trail to prolong your ride.
