New Deer Valley Freeride Trail

There’s a new trail in town… and I can already tell it’s going to be one of the most popular in it’s class. Payroll, the latest Park City freeride trail to appear from the dirt, is a well built trail with dialed berms, some decent sized doubles, and a couple quick drops that will keep you on your toes. Above all, the trail has great flow and is a fast romp though the trees. The trail is marked as a black diamond, however I was able to ride it comfortably on my 140mm trail bike. For those with an aversion to pedaling or full on DH rigs, it’s easy to shuttle, and has good lift access from Deer Valley’s Ruby Lift.

Given the nature of freeride trails in Park City, Payroll is sure to blow up. So all I am going to say for now about it’s location is that it’s somewhere above the Montage at Deer Valley. Fore more detailed directions, leave a comment on the post and I’ll get back to you privately with the trailhead details.

For years Deer Valley has been known for it’s old-school tech trails. If this is a sign of what’s to come, I can’t wait to see what gets built next. Kudos once again to the trail builders for all their hard work.
